I have taken T3 and T4 in all its varied forms, together apart etc. Ive basically bathed in the stuff and its never done anything for me, never pushed me into a hyper state, made me warm, given me energy, nothing. I used to feel a pressure in my head. Thats it.
Recently, I started taking Bromocriptine 5Mg a day to treat elevated prolactin. Im doing great on the Bromo in that its giving me no side effects as such other than crushing tiredness.
Then I thought to try the T3 and another time Tyromix (T3/T4) and that solved the tiredness problem straight away. Thats the forst time I have felt T3/4 to have an effect and do the job.
Edit. Femail, menopausal. Could this have something to do with excess estrogen?
Why is this though? Excess prolactin is raising cortisol, possibly adrenalin? So I can get why dropping prolactin levels would make me tired but how is that suddenly opening up the path for t3/4 to work its magic? I dont understand the relation.
Any thoughts or wild guesses appreaciated.
Best wishes,
